Barcelona win 4-0 in Sevilla, put pressure on leaders Real Madrid

Barcelona beat Sevilla 4-0 to increase the pressure on league leaders Real Madrid, today, Sunday, in the 23rd round of the Spanish Football League.
With this victory, Barcelona remained in third place with 48 points, but reduced the gap to one point with Atletico Madrid, which is in second place, and two points with Real Madrid, which is in first place.
The Catalan team benefited from Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the derby on Saturday evening, as part of the same round.
As for Sevilla, its score froze at 28 points in thirteenth place, after receiving its ninth loss in the league this season.
At the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, Barcelona took an early lead through Polish star Robert Lewandowski in the 7th minute, and Sevilla quickly responded with a goal by Ruben Vargas in the 8th minute, ending the first half in a draw.

Despite the numerical deficit, Barcelona scored a fourth goal, scored by Eric Garcia in the 89th minute.
Valencia reconciles with its fans
Valencia overcame the sadness of being eliminated from the Spanish King's Cup by defeating its guest Leganes 2-0.
Valencia were eliminated from the Copa del Rey in the quarter-finals after a heavy 5-0 defeat to Barcelona in front of their home fans at Mestalla Stadium last Thursday.

On the same pitch, Valencia beat Leganes 2-0 with goals scored by Christian Mosquera and Mouctar Diakhaby in the 30th and 41st minutes.
Valencia achieved its second consecutive victory in the league competition, raising its score to 22 points in 18th place, as part of its strong efforts to escape the specter of relegation.
As for Leganes, its score froze at 23 points in 17th place, and failed to overcome its slump after being eliminated from the Spanish King's Cup by losing 2-3 to Real Madrid last Wednesday.
