Barcelona qualified for the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup football competition after beating host Valencia 5-0 on Thursday, including a hat-trick by former “Bats” striker Ferran Torres.
Former Valencia striker Torres established himself as the star of the match by scoring a hat-trick in the 3rd, 17th and 30th minutes, while Ferran Lopez added the third goal (23) and Lamine Jamal added the fifth (59).
Barcelona joined the capital's two giants, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, who qualified with the former's big win over its guest and neighbor Getafe 5-0 on Tuesday in the opening of the quarter-finals, and the latter's difficult win over its host and neighbor Leganes 3-2 on Wednesday.

Earlier, Real Sociedad also qualified for the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup after beating its guest Osasuna 2-0.
Sociedad decided the result of the match in the first half hour by scoring two goals through Ander Barrenetxea (21) and Brais Mendes (31) after two decisive passes from captain Mikel Oyarzabal.
Osasuna received an early blow when defender Alejandro Catena was sent off in the 35th minute.
Real Sociedad, the three-time champion, the last of which was in 2020, took revenge for its loss to Osasuna, the runner-up twice (2005 and 2023) four days ago when it lost 1-2 in the league.
