Spanish Cup: Real Madrid rise up and beat Celta Vigo with five goals

Real Madrid had to work extra time to beat Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey.

Real Madrid beat its guest Celta Vigo 5-2 on Thursday, in regular time (2-2) in the round of 16 of the Spanish Football Cup.

Real Madrid took the lead with two goals from Frenchman Mbappe and Brazilian Vinicius Junior (37 and 48) and was on its way to an easy victory, but it strangely retreated in the final minutes.

The Ivorian Bamba reduced the difference at the beginning (83) and then Marcos Alonso equalized from a penalty kick (90+1).

Brazilian Endrick succeeded in giving Real Madrid the lead again (108) before Uruguayan Valverde added the fourth goal four minutes later, but Endrick returned to steal the spotlight with a fifth goal in the 119th minute.

In other matches, Real Sociedad beat Rayo Vallecano 3-1 and Osasuna beat title holders Athletic Bilbao 3-2.
