Copa del Rey: Barcelona, Leganes and Getafe qualify for quarter-finals

Barcelona, Leganes and Getafe joined Valencia in the quarter-finals of the Spanish King's Cup after the former beat its guest Real Betis 5-1, the latter beat its host Almeria from the second division 3-2, and the third beat its host Pontevedra from the third division 1-0 on Wednesday in the round of 16.
Barcelona, who won the local Super Cup title at the expense of their traditional rival, Real Madrid, the title holder, 5-2 in Jeddah, continued their brilliance and booked their ticket to the quarter-finals without difficulty.
The Catalan club took the lead in the first half with two goals by its international midfielder Gavi (3) and its French international defender Julius Kounde (27), before adding three goals in the second half scored by Brazilian Rafinha (58), Ferran Torres (67) and Lamine Jamal (75).
Barcelona's Brazilian striker, Victor Roque, on loan to Real Betis, scored the only goal for the visitors in the 84th minute from a penalty kick.
Valencia booked the first ticket from the home ground of its host, Ourense, from the third division, by defeating it 2-0.
Atletico Madrid later qualified after beating second division Elche 4-0.
