Newcastle reached the final of the English League Cup, after repeating its 2-0 victory over its guest Arsenal on Wednesday, in the second leg of the semi-final of the tournament.

Newcastle won by the same scoreline in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium in London last January, qualifying for the final with a 4-0 aggregate win.

Newcastle took the lead in the 19th minute through Jacob Murphy, before Anthony Gordon added the second goal in the 52nd minute.

Newcastle will play the winner of the Liverpool-Tottenham clash in the final at Wembley on March 16, after Tottenham won 1-0 at home in the first leg.
