Aston Villa snatched a draw from Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, with a goal from Ollie Watkins on Saturday, in the 22nd round of the English Premier League.
Arsenal looked set to erase the memory of their home defeat by Villa last season, their last home league defeat, when Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz scored from close range in each half.
Arsenal's win would have restored their lead to four points behind leaders Liverpool, but Villa's hopes were revived when Youri Tielemans scored on the hour before Watkins pounced on a Matty Cash cross to equalise in the 68th minute.

This set the stage for a thrilling finale in which Arsenal thought they had won the match when Mikel Merino's shot deflected off Havertz and into the net, but the goal was disallowed for handball.
Arsenal raised its score to 44 points, compared to 50 for Liverpool, who played one match less. Villa moved up one place to seventh place.
