Champions League: Arsenal close in on qualification, Bayern Munich lose 3-0

English: Arsenal came close to qualifying for the round of 16 of the Champions League, while Bayern Munich lost to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the seventh round of the Champions League.

After defeating its guest, Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia, 3-0, Arsenal's three goals were scored by Declan Rice (2), German Kai Havertz (66) and Norwegian Martin Odegaard (90+2).

The Gunners raised their score to 16 points in third place with their fifth victory, equal with Inter, before meeting their host Girona of Spain in the eighth and final round.

Milan owes its fifth win to Brazilian Rafael Leao, who scored the only goal in the 37th minute. The Lombard team's tally rose to 15 points in sixth place, while Girona's tally stopped at three points.

Bayern Munich loses 3-0

Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam welcomed its guest, German club Bayern Munich, by defeating it 3-0.

Feyenoord's goals were scored by Santiago Jimenez (21 and 45+9 from a penalty kick) and Ayase Ueda (89).

Thanks to this result, the Dutch team was able to secure a place in the play-offs of the round of 16 of the most prestigious European Cup, at least. Feyenoord raised its score to 13 points in eleventh place.

In contrast, Bayern Munich's balance, which has also secured at least a place in the play-offs, froze at 12 points in fifteenth place, and will host Slovan Bratislava in the final round on the 29th of this month.

Bayern is one point behind Feyenoord, who is in eleventh place. This is the third loss for the Bavarian giants after falling to Aston Villa 0-1 and Barcelona 1-4, compared to 4 wins.

In another match, Inter put one foot in the last 16 by defeating host Sparta Prague of the Czech Republic 1-0. Inter have not tasted defeat outside their home stadium in any competition during the 2024-2025 season, and have achieved 8 victories in their last 9 matches, without conceding a single goal.

The Nerazzurri, who will face Monaco at home in the final round, raised their score to 16 points in fourth place.
