Manchester City and Saint-Germain qualify for the play-offs to qualify for the last 16

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 play-offs, in the eighth and final round of the league stage.

Manchester City qualified for the play-offs to the round of 16 of the Champions League after a decisive and valuable victory over its guest, Club Brugge, with three goals to one, on Wednesday at the stadium.

The match started tough for Manchester City, as Club Brugge took the lead through Rafael Onyedika in the 45th minute, before City regained their balance in the second half thanks to a surprise goal scored by Mateo Kovacic in the 53rd minute, before the English team added a second goal thanks to a goal scored by defender Joel Ordonez in his own net in the 62nd minute.

In the 78th minute, Savinho settled matters completely by scoring the third goal for the English team.

Manchester City thus secured qualification to the play-offs for the round of 16 after coming in 22nd place with 11 points, ahead on goal difference of Sporting CP and Club Brugge of Belgium, who became the last team to qualify for the play-offs after securing 24th place.

Paris Saint-Germain also achieved a big win over host Stuttgart 4-1.

Ousmane Dembele (hat-trick) (17, 35 and 54) and Bradley Barcola (6) scored for the Parisian team, while Stuttgart's goal came from Chris Vihrich in the 77th minute.

The Parisian team secured its presence in the play-offs to qualify for the round of 16.

Paris Saint-Germain finished 15th in the league with 13 points, while Stuttgart left the competition.
