Barcelona crushes Valencia with seven goals

Barcelona defeated its guest Valencia, scoring seven goals against one on Sunday, in the 21st round of the Spanish Football League.

The goals were scored by Frenkie de Jong (3), Ferran Torres (8), Raphinha (14), Fermin Lopez (24 and 45+4), Robert Lewandowski (66) and Cesar Tarrega (75 own goal), while Hugo Duro (59) scored Valencia's only goal.

This is the first time since March 1955 that Valencia has conceded 7 goals in a single La Liga match.

The Catalan club regained its winning streak after a series of league matches in which it did not taste victory, and raised its score to 42 points in third place, 3 points behind second-placed Atletico Madrid, and 7 points behind its rival, Real Madrid, the leader.

On the other hand, Valencia's balance remained at 16 points in the penultimate place after suffering its eleventh loss since the start of the league.

In other matches, Athletic Bilbao drew at home against Leganes, Getafe won 3-0 against host Real Sociedad, and Rayo Vallecano beat its guest Girona.
