An armed gang affiliated with one of the influential leaders of the Houthi militia continues to kidnap and hide a businessman in the capital, Sana'a, for more than a week.

Human rights sources said that an armed Houthi gang led by the so-called (Saeed Hamad Majli Masfouh) affiliated with the influential Houthi leader "Abdullah Al-Razami" kidnapped last Monday the businessman (Maher Abdullah Qaid Al-Sudaie) from inside the office of the Inspector General of the militia's Ministry of Interior and took him to an unknown location.

According to the complaint filed by Al-Sudaei’s family - a copy of which was obtained by Yemen Youth Net - Al-Sudaei was kidnapped from the office while he was filing a complaint against the security director of the Hadda area, who refused to implement the prosecution’s orders to force the gang to hand over his car, which they had previously stolen by force months ago.

The Al-Sudaie family’s complaint stated that the director of the office of the Director General of the Inspectorate, Abu Hussein Doman, contacted the gang leader, with whom he had a friendly relationship, immediately after the merchant’s arrival, and the latter arrived with his gunmen in a Fortunal car and kidnapped him and took him to an unknown location.

The Houthi gang had kidnapped Al-Sudaie months ago and detained him in a private prison for ten days and looted his car because they did not arbitrate his civil case before the court. After his release, the merchant filed a complaint against them and obtained orders from the prosecution to hand over his car, but that did not happen due to the influence of the gang, which returned and kidnapped him.
