A member of the Transitional Council forces was killed in clashes in a popular market in Al-Buraiqah district, west of the interim capital, Aden (southern Yemen).

The Third Support and Backup Brigade of the Transitional Council said in a statement today, Thursday, that one of the brigade’s members, soldier Akram Abdo Youssef Ahmed Al-Subaihi, 25 years old, died of his wounds, which he sustained as a result of clashes that broke out on Wednesday afternoon between an officer from the brigade and his relatives, following family disputes in front of the qat market in the Bir Ahmed area, affiliated with the Al-Buraika Directorate.

He explained that the clashes resulted in the injury of the soldier (Al-Subaihi), who was accompanying the officer - one of the parties to the dispute - and he was transferred to the American hospital, but he died from his wounds.

From time to time, armed clashes erupt between soldiers and factions in the Transitional Council forces in Aden, due to personal disputes or financial levies, inside the markets and among gatherings, and these clashes cause casualties.
