On Tuesday, an officer survived an assassination attempt by elements aboard a military vehicle east of the interim capital, Aden, in southern Yemen, which is under the control of the Transitional Council formations.

Local sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that Lieutenant Ayman Al-Aqil Al-Jaadani, an officer in the Abyan Police, was shot while driving his car on the Al-Arish Road in the Khormaksar District, east of Aden.

The sources explained that the officer, who belongs to the Ali Ashal tribe and is hidden in the Transitional Council prisons, and is the brother of the police chief in Abyan, was shot by a military vehicle carrying soldiers.

She pointed out that Al-Jaadani's car was damaged, while the crew left the Arish area after the shooting to an unknown destination.

According to the sources, the Jaadna tribe held the security authorities in Aden, represented by the Transitional Council, responsible for the safety of Lieutenant Ayman Al-Aqel, stressing that it will not stand idly by when one of its sons is targeted.

According to the sources, the Al-Jaadna tribe submitted an official report to the Aden Security Department, demanding the disclosure of the perpetrators and the bringing of the military crew involved in the incident.
