The National Army forces responded to Houthi militia artillery shelling targeting their positions west of Taiz (southwest of Yemen).
The Taiz Axis Media Center said late yesterday evening that the army forces' artillery responded to Houthi militia shelling that targeted army positions on the Al-Ahtoub front in Jabal Habashi district, west of the governorate.
He added that the militia targeted army positions with six mortar shells, before the army artillery responded to the sources of fire.
This came a day after the army announced the destruction of a 12.7-caliber machine gun belonging to the terrorist Houthi militia after it was used to target army positions east of Taiz.
This coincides with renewed clashes between army forces and Houthi militias on several fronts in various governorates, in light of the ongoing Houthi escalation and mobilization.
