Hodeidah.. Launching the distribution of boats to fishermen in Al-Khokha

The local authority in Al Hudaydah Governorate (western Yemen) launched the distribution of 100 fishing boats to beneficiaries in Al Khawkhah District, south of the governorate.

The local authority media reported that the Director General of Al-Khokha District, Salem Alian, along with the Director General of Ports in the Red Sea Fisheries Authority, Harbi Banda, launched yesterday, Monday, the distribution of 100 sea boats to the beneficiaries, within the conditional cash amounts project, provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross in cooperation with the Yemeni Red Crescent.

During the inauguration, Alian and Banda praised the support provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross within the fishermen support project, stressing the importance of sustainable projects in improving the standard of living of the beneficiary families.

The inauguration was attended by the Director of the Coast Guard Forces Center in Al-Khokha, Rajai Bukhari, the representative of the Fishermen’s Associations, Fouad Dobla, and the representative of the Yemeni Red Crescent, Rasim Fakhri.
