Dozens of people from Ibb governorate demonstrated and set up tents today, Tuesday, in Al-Sabeen Square in Sana'a, to demand the handover of Houthi elements who killed Sheikh "Sadiq Abu Shaar".
Local sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that dozens of Ibb residents, including sheikhs, dignitaries, and relatives of Sheikh Sadiq Abu Shaar, held a protest today, Tuesday, and set up tents for a sit-in in Al-Sab'een Square, to demand the handover of the killers.
The people of Ibb pledged to continue the sit-in in Al-Sab’een Square until all the killers are handed over, otherwise other tents will be set up in front of the Houthi Ministry of Interior and in front of the Attorney General’s office.
The protesters warned the Houthi militias that if their demands to hand over all those involved in committing the crime were not met, they would take revenge themselves, according to the sources.
Activists on social media called on the people of Ibb residing in Sana'a to head to the sit-in site in Al-Sabeen Square.
Yesterday, Monday, Houthi elements ambushed the tribal sheikh "Sadiq Abu Shaar", one of the sheikhs of the Shaar district in Ibb Governorate, in the Dar Salam roundabout south of Sana'a, and opened fire on him in his car, killing him.
The sources indicated that the Houthi militants, led by the Houthi leader called "Alawi Al-Amir", seized all the surveillance cameras in the shops and facilities in the area after committing their crime.
Tents were set up in Al-Sab’een Square for a sit-in until the killers of Sheikh Sadiq Abu Shaar are handed over. May God have mercy on him.
