Shabwa: Two soldiers killed and 3 injured, including the director of Al-Talh police, during a security campaign in Dahar district

Two soldiers were killed and four others, including an officer, were injured on Tuesday during a security campaign to pursue a wanted man in Shabwa Governorate, southeast of Yemen.

Local sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that Public Security forces launched a campaign to pursue a gunman named "Yeslam Bathniya" who is suspected of cooperating with the Houthi militia in the Dahar district, east of Shabwa.

The sources explained that during the security forces' raid on the house, the gunman and his relatives opened fire on the campaign, which resulted in the killing of two soldiers, "Hassan Saleh Al-Hawat Bu Markha" and "Ali Omar Barouai."

Three other soldiers from the security campaign were also injured, including the security director of Al-Talh District, Adel Balqafa, his son, and another soldier, according to the sources.

She pointed out that the security campaign withdrew from the area without arresting the wanted person or his relatives who had taken refuge in the house.

Terrorist ambush

Later this evening, the Director of Shabwa Police, Brigadier General Fouad Al-Nasi, visited the Director of Security of Al-Talh District, Captain Adel Ali Salem Balqafa, and his companions, who are receiving treatment in a hospital in the city of Ataq.

The media offices in Shabwa reported that Balqafa and his companions were subjected to a treacherous and cowardly terrorist ambush by subversive elements outside the system and the law this afternoon in Dahar District, which resulted in the martyrdom of two of his companions and the injury of three others.

Brigadier Al-Nasi confirmed that the ambush was carried out by subversive elements outside the system and the law, led by the so-called "Y. A. M. B", the so-called "S. Y. A. M. B" and the subversive elements affiliated with them.

He also stressed that the provincial police will not be lenient with these subversive elements, and that they will exert efforts to pursue them and bring them to justice, stressing that the police are continuing their efforts to enhance security and stability in the province.
