The terrorist Houthi militia imposed a fine on a truck driver after his vehicle overturned on a road in Sana'a Governorate, northern Yemen.
Transport workers said that a truck driver from Amran named Ibrahim Mohammed Ali Al-Makhdi was involved in an accident a few days ago when his truck overturned in the Yaslah pass while he was leading a "scrap metal campaign from Sana'a to Hodeidah." The truck sustained extensive damage.
They added that militia members in the Qahza area of Haziz detained the driver's truck while it was being transported to Sana'a and did not release it until two days later, after he paid a sum of 20,000 riyals in the old currency, or the equivalent of 150 Saudi riyals, under the pretext of a traffic accident fine.
The incident coincided with the Houthi militia's creation of a new black market for trucks passing through during designated hours in exchange for huge sums of money, according to transport sector workers.
The workers said that the time allocated by the Houthi militia to enter Sanaa begins at 2:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM, but the militia facilitated the passage of trucks at other times in exchange for financial sums.
