The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the start of transferring the dues of students sent abroad to study for tuition fees for the academic year 2023-2024.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Missions Sector, Mazen Al-Jafri, said, "The Central Bank in the interim capital, Aden, has begun transferring tuition fees for the year 2023-2024 to all cultural attachés and Yemeni embassies accredited abroad, so that they can be disbursed to students in the coming days."
Al-Jafri explained in a press statement that the Missions Sector has completed preparing the third and fourth quarters of 2023 AD in order to reduce the time period between the due date of the quarter and the expected date for its delivery.
In turn, the Director General of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Jalal Ali Al-Hashemi, announced the start of transferring tuition fees for students studying abroad for the academic year 2023-2024.
Al-Hashemi explained in a statement that the transfer of tuition fees from the Central Bank of Yemen in the interim capital, Aden, has begun to all cultural attachés and Yemeni embassies accredited abroad, in order to disburse them within the next few days.
Al-Hashemi stressed that the Ministry is doing its utmost to ensure that financial dues reach students, expressing his hope that students will appreciate the difficult circumstances and current challenges facing the country.
This comes in light of the students’ repeated appeals to address their situation, as a result of the repeated delay in their dues, and the impact of this on their educational situation in the countries of immigration.
