The Yemeni House of Representatives mourns the death of MP Abdo Mohsen Al-Hawshbi

Today, Thursday, the Yemeni House of Representatives mourned the death of the member of the House, Abdo Mohsen Mohammed Mahdi Al-Hawshbi, "who passed away to be with his Lord after a life full of giving and service to religion and country."

Sheikh Abdo Mohsen Mahdi, a member of the parliamentary bloc of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party, passed away at dawn today, Thursday, in Mecca, at the age of 68.

In its obituary, the Parliament praised the deceased’s seasoned parliamentary roles and national stances across various struggles.

He pointed out that the deceased was a prominent and distinguished social figure who contributed to creating an environment of love and harmony among citizens. He was known as an example of moderation and balance in his various activities and a lover of knowledge and learners.

The statement read: "The Presidency and members of the House of Representatives, while expressing their sorrow over the passing of the deceased, extend their sincere condolences to the son of the deceased, Abdul Rahman, his brothers, and all members of his honorable family, asking God Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon him, to grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and to inspire everyone with patience and solace."

In turn, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, sent a telegram of condolences and sympathy to Abdul Rahman Al-Hawshbi, his brothers and all members of his family on the death of their father after a life full of giving in the service of his country, his people and its progress.

The President praised the virtues of the deceased, his prominent roles and honorable positions in serving the nation and society, his well-known contributions to reconciliation, and his educational and advocacy activities, expressing his deep sorrow and sincere condolences to the family of Representative Abdo Al-Hawshbi and his colleagues in the legislative authority, on this painful loss.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform, Abdul-Wahhab Al-Ansi, sent a telegram of condolences to Abdul-Rahman Abdo Mohsen Al-Hawshbi and his brothers, on the death of their father, MP Abdo Mohsen Mohammed Mahdi, a member of the party’s parliamentary bloc.

According to the official website of the Islah, Al-Ansi expressed his sadness over the passing of MP Al-Hawshbi, due to a terminal illness, after a life full of national and parliamentary work.

He stressed that Islah lost one of its struggling men, who did his duty towards his country and society, whether through his membership in the House of Representatives for District 75 in Al-Masemir District in Lahj Governorate, and the Committee for the Codification of Sharia Provisions, or through his societal and political role.

Al-Ansi praised the virtues of the deceased Al-Hawshbi, stressing that he was a man of responsibility and perseverance, and was distinguished by his modesty, good morals, love for all people, and his fingerprints in charitable and humanitarian work, explaining that the loss of Al-Islah, Lahj Governorate, and Yemen in general, is great with his departure.
