The US military announced, on Saturday, the use of "Toma Hawk" missiles in its recent attacks on Houthi militia sites in Yemen.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that its naval forces launched Toma Hawk missiles at Houthi command and control sites and weapons production and storage facilities on December 31.
In a statement on the X platform, it explained that the attacks were carried out using guided missile destroyers from the aircraft carrier group "Harry S. Truman", which was operating in the waters of the Red Sea.

The US military announced on Tuesday evening that it had carried out a series of multiple strikes on December 30 and 31, targeting Houthi sites in Sanaa and coastal areas under the control of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
The US statement added that US Navy ships and aircraft targeted Houthi command and control facilities, in addition to facilities for the production and storage of advanced conventional weapons, including missiles and drones.
The statement indicated that the Houthis use these facilities in attacks against American warships and commercial ships in the southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
CENTCOM added that its warplanes destroyed a Houthi coastal radar site, seven cruise missiles and suicide attack drones over the Red Sea.
Since the beginning of last year, a US-led military coalition has been launching attacks on Yemen, saying they are targeting Houthi sites in response to their attacks in the Red Sea targeting ships linked to Israel and America, which the Houthis say are supporting Gaza, while the Americans and their allies consider them a threat to international navigation.
