The popular comedy show "Saturday Night Live" presented a parody of the controversial meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office, which witnessed a sharp verbal altercation that sparked widespread controversy in political and media circles.

Actor James Austin Johnson played President Trump, while viewers were in for a surprise when comedian Mike Myers returned to the screen as Elon Musk, the controversial billionaire and owner of the X platform.

The show mocked the strained relations between the United States and Ukraine under the Trump administration's new foreign policy, as well as Elon Musk's growing influence in American decision-making circles.

The episode also included a parody scene featuring actor Michael J.Y. as Vice President J.D. Vance, with comedic references to his military background and growing role in the Trump administration.

The satirical show comes at a time when US-Ukrainian relations are increasingly strained over issues of military and financial support, with questions about the future of US aid to Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.

The show was distinguished by its ability to present sharp political criticism wrapped in a layer of comedy and satire, a style that "Saturday Night Live" has been famous for throughout its history spanning more than 50 years.
