Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council visits the headquarters of the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Riyadh

On Monday evening, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi visited the headquarters of the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, where he was received by the Commander of the Joint Forces, Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman, and senior military officials.

During the visit, the focus was on enhancing joint coordination between the Yemeni armed forces and the coalition forces, and developing mechanisms for military cooperation to combat terrorism, smuggling, and organized crime, according to Saba Agency.

According to the agency, the coalition's support to improve the capabilities of the Yemeni forces in confronting the security challenges facing the country was discussed.

President Al-Alimi was briefed on the efforts to modernize and develop the Yemeni armed forces, praising what has been achieved in this field. They also discussed how to secure continuous support for Yemeni state institutions in light of the current situation.

It is noteworthy that this visit came one day after Al-Alimi met with American officials to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two sides in combating terrorism and organized crime.

This meeting also came amidst remarkable diplomatic activity in Riyadh and a noticeable Houthi mobilization, coinciding with talk of arrangements for a possible military escalation in Yemen.
