Today, Wednesday, Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani, discussed with an Omani official the Yemeni crisis and ways to resolve it.

Oman News Agency said that the Minister of the Royal Office, Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Nu'mani, met today with the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Shaye' Al-Zindani, who is currently on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

The agency reported that during the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations, friendship and partnership ties between the two brotherly countries. They also discussed the latest developments in the situation in the Republic of Yemen and the efforts made by all parties to resolve them in a way that achieves security and stability for the brotherly Yemeni people.

The Yemeni News Agency (Saba) announced yesterday evening that Al-Zindani had arrived in the Omani capital, Muscat, on an official visit during which he will meet with a number of officials in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman to discuss bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

The Minister was quoted as saying that the visit is important and its importance stems from the keenness of the two brotherly countries to discuss relations between them at various levels and work to develop them. He praised the mediation efforts undertaken by the brothers in the Sultanate in coordination with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.

Meanwhile, navigation data showed that an Omani Air Force plane was heading towards the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, which is under the control of the Houthi militia. Informed sources expected that the plane was carrying an Omani delegation to hold talks with Houthi leaders, as part of the mediation efforts led by the Sultanate to stop the Houthi escalation in the Red Sea and release the crew of the Galaxy Leader ship, who have been detained for 14 months.
