The Presidential Leadership Council condemned, on Thursday, the new Israeli aggression on Yemeni lands, holding the terrorist Houthi militias responsible for this escalation and violation of national sovereignty.

This came during a meeting chaired by the Council Chairman, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, in the presence of all members of the Leadership Council, according to the Yemeni News Agency "Saba".

According to the agency, "the Council was briefed on the Houthi terrorist attacks on maritime security, their misleading narratives to exploit the suffering of the Palestinian people, their repercussions on the living conditions of the peoples of the region, and the militarization of their territorial waters."

While the Presidential Leadership Council condemned the "new Israeli aggression on Yemeni lands," it held the terrorist Houthi militias responsible for this escalation and violation of national sovereignty, calling on them to "put the interests of the Yemeni people above any other interests."

Leadership Council member Tariq Saleh said: “Yemen will not be saved from external and internal conflicts except by the Houthi group returning to the people’s voice, surrendering its weapons, stopping oppression, brutality and tyranny, and submitting to its desire for a stable and prosperous Yemen, with which it chooses its leadership that puts the nation before its sect.”

Saleh added via the "X" platform: "I call on everyone to unite to end sectarian and racist projects and to put the interests of the people first and last."

On Thursday morning, the Israeli occupation army announced that it had launched a series of air strikes on sites in the capital, Sanaa, and the city of Hodeidah on the Mediterranean coast, which it said focused on "military targets" belonging to the Houthis.

Hebrew media reported that the Israeli bombing targeted the disruption of ports, oil facilities, and a power generation station. The Israeli Air Force also targeted five sites throughout Yemen.

Houthi-affiliated media reported that 9 people were killed and 3 injured in Israeli raids targeting areas and sites in Yemen, including the capital, Sanaa, and Hodeidah.
