US President Donald Trump vowed on Wednesday to completely eliminate the Houthis, while US warplanes launched new airstrikes on areas including Sanaa and Saada.

Trump said in a post on his Social Truth platform that reports indicate that Tehran has reduced its direct military support for them, but that it continues to provide them with large quantities of supplies.

He added that the Houthis had suffered significant damage and that the situation would gradually worsen for them, stressing that continued fighting would not be in their interest.

He also stressed that the Houthis would lose in any case, but he believed that Iran's halting of its supplies to them would cause them to lose quickly.

The US President explained that the confrontation "is not fair and never will be," stressing that the Houthis "will be completely defeated."

Meanwhile, Houthi-affiliated media reported that the capital, Sana'a, was subjected to what they described as a US aggression this evening, noting that the raids "targeted an event hall under construction in the Al-Thawra district."

She also said that other US raids targeted the vicinity of Saada, the militia's stronghold in northern Yemen, in addition to raids on Al-Hazm city in Al-Jawf governorate.

Houthi media also reported that US aircraft launched raids on the Al-Suwadiyah district in the central Al-Bayda governorate.

Activists said that the US raids on Al Bayda Governorate targeted a Houthi militia weapons depot in the Al Taheriya area of Al Suwadiyah District.

On Monday, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said that a series of operations included precision strikes against Iranian-backed Houthi targets across Yemen.

Last Saturday, the United States launched airstrikes against what it described as Houthi targets, saying the operation aimed to restore freedom of navigation in the region's maritime corridors.
