Yemen and Kuwait affirm their determination to continue strengthening bilateral partnership to serve common interests

The Republic of Yemen and the State of Kuwait affirmed, on Sunday, their determination to continue strengthening the bilateral partnership in a way that serves common interests and contributes to enhancing stability and development in the region.

This came during the reception of the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Dr. Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, for the Yemeni Foreign Minister, Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani, according to the Yemeni News Agency, Saba.

According to the agency, during the meeting, the Kuwaiti Crown Prince expressed Kuwait's full solidarity with its brothers in Yemen, and stressed Kuwait's readiness to make every effort to contribute to achieving peace, security and stability in Yemen.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the historical relations with the sisterly State of Kuwait, and expressed the Yemeni government's appreciation for the continuous support provided by Kuwait in various fields.

The meeting reviewed the historical fraternal relations between Yemen and the State of Kuwait, affirmed the mutual appreciation between the two brotherly peoples, discussed opportunities for bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as discussed developments in the region and ways to enhance coordination between the two countries in facing current challenges.

Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani, arrived in the Kuwaiti capital on an official visit during which he will meet with a number of Kuwaiti officials to discuss ways to develop joint cooperation in various fields, in addition to signing memoranda of understanding that serve the common interests of the two countries.
