Bahrain continued its impressive run in the Gulf Cup (Gulf 26) with a 1-0 win over host Kuwait in the semi-finals of the tournament on Tuesday.

Bahrain thus qualified for the tournament final, which will be held next Saturday, to meet Oman, which won 2-1 against Saudi Arabia in the first semi-final match, which was held earlier on Tuesday.

Mohammed Marhoon scored Bahrain's only goal of the match in the 75th minute after the ball reached him in front of the goal, placing it in the net and securing victory for Bahrain.

Mohammed Marhoon, who scored Bahrain's winning goal against Kuwait, was named Man of the Match.

The attendance at the Kuwait-Bahrain match was 60,122 spectators.

Bahrain beat Saudi Arabia and defending champions Iraq in their first two group matches before losing 2-1 to Yemen but had already secured qualification to the semi-finals before that encounter.
