Western newspapers reported that the scope of the attack on Iran's agents has expanded with the attacks launched by Israel on Sunday on fuel facilities and power stations in Hodeidah and Ras Issa in western Yemen.
She said the attack indicated Israel's readiness to engage in a broader regional war against Iranian-backed groups and regimes, warning that new attacks on Iranian proxies across the Middle East threatened to accelerate the slide toward a devastating regional conflict on multiple fronts.
According to a report by The Guardian, the attack on the port of Hodeidah in Yemen was carried out by dozens of Israeli aircraft, targeting fuel facilities, power stations and docks in the ports of Ras Issa and Hodeidah.
The newspaper considered that the strikes represent one of the largest operations of this type so far in the crisis that has lasted for nearly a year in the region.

The strikes in Yemen and the new wave of attacks in Lebanon come 48 hours after the Israeli operation that led to the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, the veteran leader of Hezbollah, in Beirut.
The Guardian saw that the assassination of Nasrallah dealt a severe blow to Hezbollah and Iran, and led to the removal of an influential ally who helped build the armed Shiite organization into the center of Tehran's "axis of resistance."

For its part, the New York Times indicated that the strikes, which came at a time when Israel also bombed Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, highlighted how the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has expanded to other parts of the Arab world where Iranian-backed groups dominate.
Humanitarian experts have warned that targeting ports in northern Yemen could exacerbate the already deteriorating humanitarian situation.
"More than half of Yemen's population depends on humanitarian aid," much of it flowing through ports in the north of the country, Niko Jafarnia, a Human Rights Watch researcher specializing in Yemen, told the New York Times.
Yesterday, Sunday, the Israeli occupation army launched air strikes on targets in the Al Hudaydah Governorate on the Red Sea coast. The occupation army said, "In a large-scale air operation, dozens of aircraft attacked military targets of the Houthi regime (...) in the Ras Issa and Al Hudaydah areas in Yemen."
He added that he attacked "power stations and a seaport used to transport weapons," noting that the attack came in response to recent attacks carried out by the Houthis against Israel.
The Israeli aggression resulted in the martyrdom of 4 people and the injury of 49 others, according to the initial toll of the aggression, according to what was reported by the Houthi media.
