To Attract Arab and Muslim Votes... Harris and Trump Promise to Bring Peace

The two campaigns competing in the US presidential elections competed in issuing promises regarding ending the war and rebuilding the Gaza Strip, in an attempt to attract Muslim and Arab voters on the eve of the vote that will begin tomorrow, Tuesday.
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, a campaign leader for Kamala Harris, said the Democratic presidential candidate would end wars in the Middle East and secure a state for the Palestinians if she wins the election.
This came during a public meeting organized by Al Jazeera in Michigan, where Ellison announced that Harris is "committed to ending the war in the Middle East and to the Palestinians getting their own state."
On the other hand, Amer Ghaleb, the mayor of Hamtramck and a leader in Donald Trump's campaign, said that the Republican candidate promises a new policy that will end the war in Gaza, considering that Trump's victory "means a new era in Washington's policy towards the region."
He added that Trump "listened to Arab Americans and made clear promises to end hate speech against them... Trump will end Biden's policy in the Middle East and begin a new phase of peace there."
Last Saturday, Harris repeated her attempts to win the votes of Arab and Muslim Americans, despite the angry chants she received during her election campaigns because of Washington’s support for the war on Gaza and Lebanon.
During a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina - one of the seven states that will decide the election - Harris said, "I will do everything in my power to end the war in Gaza when I am elected president of the United States."
Polls indicate that some Arab and Muslim Americans will not vote for either Harris or Trump, will boycott the elections or will give their votes to Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who called for an end to the genocide in Gaza.
Arabs and Muslims constitute an influential voting bloc in Michigan, one of the swing states that could decide the race for the White House, and which both Trump and Harris are keen to win.
