The great Yemeni poet Abdullah Al-Bardouni looked with insight at the tragic reality of his country across generations past and future. He wrote a poem considered among the most honest, depicting the Eid and its conditions. He began it with: “They say, ‘You came, so what happened? What was revealed and what happened?’ You see songs as the new dawn, so what useful new thing do you see? The houses, the prisons, the graves increase/So has the earth’s surface increased by an inch?”

Ahmed Maher, a journalist freed from the prisons of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), revealed that STC forces are holding approximately 113 residents of the northern governorates in Bir Ahmed prison in the interim capital, Aden. Some have been held there for several years under difficult conditions.

A Yemeni human rights association called on the terrorist Houthi militia to release all those abducted and disappeared from its prisons immediately, to spare them any danger from the escalating US airstrikes in areas under its control.

The Yemeni Organization for Prisoners and Abductees said on Thursday that the Houthi militias killed 671 abductees in their prisons as a result of torture, liquidation, and medical neglect, during the period between 2014 and mid-2022.

The Yemeni government has warned that there will be more victims unless these violations are stopped.

Today, Saturday, the "Rasd" organization for rights and freedoms revealed brutal torture operations that led to the death of the kidnapped Muhammad Ali Al-Naseem in the prisons of the terrorist Houthi militia in Sana'a.
