Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak has directed the disbursement of annual bonuses to state employees based on their years of service and the provision of all due financial settlements, in a move aimed at improving the conditions of public sector workers.

The Houthi plan behind this mechanism is to directly control the resources of companies and the public sector under the pretext of paying salaries, which increases fears of resource seizure. The plan also did not adequately care for teachers, which exacerbates their suffering in light of the high rates of deprivation.
