Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak has directed the disbursement of annual bonuses to state employees based on their years of service and the provision of all due financial settlements, in a move aimed at improving the conditions of public sector workers.
According to Saba News Agency, the Ministers of Civil Service, Insurance, and Finance have been tasked with completing the necessary procedures to implement the decision, as part of the government's efforts to address the economic challenges facing employees at both the central and local levels.
The agency quoted a government source as saying that this step comes within the framework of the government's efforts to alleviate the living burdens of employees and keep pace with economic changes, including exchange rate fluctuations.
The source also indicated that the government, in coordination with the Presidential Leadership Council, is working to implement comprehensive reforms, including combating corruption, restoring public service, and rationalizing spending to ensure financial resources are directed toward priorities that directly impact citizens' lives.
