Earlier today, Iraqi sources revealed to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that 300 armed men affiliated with Iraqi factions withdrew from deep inside Syria to Iraqi territory last night, Friday, in a move that is the first of its kind in years.

This coincides with the Iraqi government's clear retreat from proposing the military option of intervention in Syria, after it had recently escalated in this direction, considering that the events in Syria threaten Iraq's security, while the Baghdad government is moving towards searching for diplomatic solutions.
