Israeli media reported that the announcement of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon will be at 10 pm today, Tuesday, and will go into effect tomorrow at 10 am, while Hezbollah representatives hinted at the imminent reaching of an agreement in separate statements.

The Israeli security cabinet met this evening to discuss the agreement, with the possibility of announcing its approval. This coincided with Hezbollah firing rockets towards areas in the Galilee, Haifa and its surroundings. Channel 12 quoted senior Israeli officials as saying that the ceasefire agreement is expected to be announced this evening by US President Joe Biden, and will go into effect tomorrow morning.

Channel 13 quoted a "senior" Israeli official as saying, "Israel wants the ceasefire to go into effect early tomorrow," adding that the occupation government will inform the United States of its final approval of the agreement after the cabinet meeting tonight.

For his part, Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah told Reuters that "Lebanon is going through dangerous and sensitive hours before the expected ceasefire," adding that the party "will remain after the end of the war." He added that the party's social and health branches are ready to help the day after the war in matters including the return of the displaced and reconstruction.

In the same context, Hezbollah MP Amin Sherri said: “We must be careful, because this enemy is treacherous and wants to end with more killing, and God willing, this will be the last salvo of the resistance,” referring to the party’s intention to launch missiles at Israel before the agreement enters into force.
