The Israeli occupation army announces the assassination of a senior Hezbollah official in southern Lebanon

The Israeli army radio said Tuesday afternoon that Israel had killed a key figure in Hezbollah's Radwan Force in southern Lebanon, without naming him.

Earlier, Israeli sources announced the assassination of a senior Hezbollah official by bombing his car in the Tyre area in southern Lebanon.

For his part, the Civil Defense in southern Lebanon announced the killing of a person in an Israeli drone attack in the town of Rashkananiyeh.

Hezbollah has not issued an official confirmation or denial of the Israeli account of the assassination of a leader in its ranks.

Since November 27, a fragile ceasefire has prevailed, ending the mutual shelling between Israel and Hezbollah that began on October 8, 2023, and then turned into a large-scale Israeli war on Lebanon on September 23, resulting in more than 4,000 deaths and 16,000 wounded.

Under the pretext of confronting "threats from Hezbollah," Israel committed dozens of violations of the ceasefire agreement and launched raids on the Lebanese side, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.
