The terrorist Houthi militia has escalated its rhetoric against Saudi Arabia, claiming that any steps taken by the Central Bank of Aden against the banking sector, whether directly or through the United States, will place Saudi Arabia at the center of the confrontation. This would be a "clear violation of the truce agreement and a reversal of all previous understandings."

This warning came from a Houthi official, published by the militia's media outlets. The source claimed that "Riyadh will not be immune from the repercussions of any escalation targeting banks," holding Riyadh fully responsible for any actions affecting the banking sector in areas under their control.

The Houthis accused Saudi Arabia and the UAE of seeking to use US sanctions as leverage to intimidate banks and force them to comply with the internationally recognized government's directives.

This threat coincides with mounting pressure on Yemeni banks, after eight banks announced their willingness to relocate their headquarters to Aden following the designation of the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization.

Observers confirm that relocating to Aden has become a serious option for banking institutions in Houthi-controlled areas. This option aims to preserve their financial stability, free from Houthi control, and prevent them from being placed on the international sanctions list, following the group's imposition of strict restrictions on banking activities in Sana'a and other areas under its control.
