Today, Sunday, the terrorist Houthi militia closed one of the largest restaurants in Ibb Governorate, central Yemen.
According to sources, the militia closed down the Abdo Ali Grills restaurant, one of the largest multi-story restaurants, in the latest Houthi attack on investors, shops, and businessmen in the city of Ibb.
Activists circulated photos of the restaurant, closed by the militia's Public Works Office, at the height of the Ramadan season.
According to local sources in Ibb, the restaurant's closure has left dozens of employees without their livelihoods ahead of Eid al-Fitr and has caused huge losses for its owner.
Some sources estimate that Al Houthi is unlawfully demanding nearly ten million riyals from the restaurant owner.
Dozens of restaurant employees, workers, and those in need demonstrated outside the restaurant to denounce its closure. They emphasized that the owners were providing assistance to those in need by offering them free meals.
Since the beginning of Ramadan, the Houthi militia has been launching repeated attacks on merchants, businessmen, and shops to extract huge taxes under the guise of zakat, licenses, the war effort, and other justifications, especially during the holy month.
