The United States reiterated the objectives of its air campaign, which has been ongoing for more than 10 days against the terrorist Houthi militia in Yemen, stressing that it aims to destroy the Houthis' capabilities and does not target civilians in areas under their control.
The US Embassy in Yemen said in a statement on the X platform on Tuesday that the United States stands firmly with the Yemeni people in their aspirations for peace and prosperity.
She added, "The current campaign against the Houthis aims to target only the Houthis and their military capabilities, not civilians living under their authoritarian rule."

For the eleventh consecutive day, the United States continues a massive air campaign targeting the Houthi militia and its military capabilities. The Houthi militia claims that some of these raids have resulted in the deaths and injuries of a number of civilians.
On March 15, US President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered his country's military to launch a "major offensive" against the Houthi group in Yemen, before threatening to "completely eliminate the Houthis."
On Friday, the American website Politico reported that the United States had deployed a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East, a rare move as the Trump administration intensifies its bombing campaign against Houthi fighters in Yemen.
The website also quoted defense officials as saying that US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ordered the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, currently operating in the Red Sea, to extend its deployment for at least a month.
