The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced on Saturday that it had stormed an Israeli military post in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip, and clashed with soldiers inside, killing and wounding them.

Hamas said: "Our fighters reported, after returning from the battle lines, storming a Zionist military post and clashing with enemy soldiers with light weapons and hand grenades."

The Brigades indicated in a statement that its fighters had killed and wounded Israeli soldiers at the military checkpoint in the Abu Safiya area, east of Jabalia camp.

This comes as the Israeli army announced the interception of two rockets fired from the northern Gaza Strip after sirens sounded in occupied Jerusalem and southern Israel on Saturday.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that the missiles were fired from a close distance from where the Israeli soldiers were located in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip.

Also, Israeli Channel 13 said that rockets were fired at Israel from Beit Hanoun despite the army's repeated operations in this area during the war.

She added that this "was a surprise, especially since the army had invaded it (Beit Hanoun) repeatedly."

The Israeli channel reported that the army's estimates show that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has more missiles capable of reaching Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

In the same context, the Israeli Walla website quoted sources in the Southern Command of the Israeli army as saying that the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip have more medium-range missiles, adding that these factions are "making efforts to restore their missile capabilities."

For nearly 3 months, the Israeli occupation army has been launching a devastating attack on the northern Gaza Strip, which has led to the martyrdom and injury of thousands of Palestinians and the displacement of tens of thousands, coinciding with a stifling siege.

This comes as the war of extermination continues in the entire Gaza Strip for the 15th consecutive month, with the number of martyrs and wounded reaching more than 153 thousand, and most of the civilian infrastructure, including homes, schools and hospitals, being destroyed.
