This morning, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces committed a horrific massacre in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, leaving 50 martyrs, including 5 medical staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital, while the Palestinian resistance carried out several ambushes against the occupation forces in Jabalia camp, resulting in the death of two officers with the rank of major and the injury of a number of soldiers.

The Ministry of Health said, "About 50 people, including 5 medical staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital, were killed as a result of the occupation's airstrike on a building adjacent to the hospital."

The statement explained that among the martyrs were Dr. Ahmed Sammour, a pediatrician, and Israa Abu Zaida, a laboratory technician, both of whom were martyred while trying to return to their homes. A technician was also martyred while trying to rescue the injured.

Two paramedics were also killed near the hospital and their bodies are still in the street.

The Israeli occupation forces also detonated a fourth booby-trapped robot in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital, north of the Gaza Strip.

Hours after the massacre, the occupation army surrounded Kamal Adwan Hospital and demanded that those inside it go out into the courtyard.

A source from inside the hospital told Al Jazeera that the occupation forces asked the hospital administration to evacuate the medical staff, patients and companions to the hospital yard, while tanks fired and shelled the area around it.

The occupation forces gave those present 15 minutes to leave the square. It was not possible to obtain further details due to the almost complete loss of communication.

It is noteworthy that there are about 350 people inside the hospital, including 75 injured and sick people, in addition to their companions, and 180 medical staff and workers in the hospital’s various departments.

Resistance ambushes

On the ground, the Israeli army announced the death of a major - a company commander in the multi-task unit - and the serious injury of an officer and a soldier in battles in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army radio announced the killing of another officer with the rank of major by a sniper's bullet in the Netzarim area in the central Gaza Strip, and during the same incident a soldier in the same unit was seriously injured, while the army announced that an officer and a tank commander were seriously injured in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military spokesman said that army units destroyed an underground tunnel extending dozens of meters in the Jabalia area, a building used for manufacturing explosives, a number of weapons, vests, and military equipment belonging to Hamas.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of Hamas - said that "one of its fighters blew himself up in a Zionist force of 5 soldiers, killing and wounding them east of Jabalia camp."

The Qassam Brigades added in a statement, "As soon as the rescue forces advanced to the location, our fighters sniped two of their soldiers and showered them with a number of Zionist-made hand grenades in the Tel al-Zaatar area, east of the Jabalia camp, north of the Strip."

Al-Qassam also announced that its fighters targeted an Israeli engineering force with a TPG shell while it was advancing to blow up houses west of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.

The Brigades said that its fighters targeted a Zionist infantry force of 7 soldiers in Jabalia camp with a highly explosive device, killing and wounding them.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said that a group of its fighters clashed with an Israeli infantry force at point-blank range, killing and wounding them, near the "Ali Mosque" south of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

The Al-Qassam Brigades also confirmed that its fighters blew up an Israeli Merkava tank in the same area using a Shawaaz explosive device.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement - broadcast footage showing its fighters, in cooperation with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, bombing an Israeli army command and control site in the "Netzarim" axis, in addition to footage showing its fighters controlling an Israeli drone while carrying out intelligence missions in the central Gaza Strip.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 153,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
