Today, Thursday, Al-Mahra University celebrated the graduation of the first batch of its students, numbering 234 male and female students, under the slogan "A Dream Come True", in the presence of the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, the Governor of Al-Mahra, Mohammed Ali Yasser, the President of the University, Dr. Anwar Mohammed Kalshat, and the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the Governorate, Mr. Salem Abdullah Nimr.
In his speech, Governor Bin Yasser congratulated the graduating students and their families on this occasion, praising the successes and steps achieved by Al Mahrah University as a prominent scientific and historical achievement that contributes to raising the educational level in the governorate, appreciating the efforts of the university leadership and faculty members in improving the educational process and developing its cadres despite its recent establishment.
For his part, the university president pointed out the successes achieved by the university since its establishment, thanks to the efforts of joint institutional work between administrative cadres and faculty members according to a five-year strategic plan.
Dr. Kalshat pointed out that the university is achieving great successes despite the scarcity of resources, calling on the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council to allocate a sufficient operating budget for the university to continue its progress, expressing his thanks for the continuous support from the local authority in the governorate.
The ceremony included many segments, including poetry, the traditional Al-Habut dance, and a performance of a special anthem for Al-Mahra University, in addition to honoring supporters and top students from the various departments in the College of Education, the College of Administrative Sciences, the College of Applied and Health Sciences, and the College of Open Education.
