A child was brutally killed in a town in Ibb Governorate

A three-year-old child was brutally killed by unknown persons in a town in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).

Local sources said that the residents of Dahran village in Al-Maghariba district in Madhikharah district (southwest of Ibb) found the child (Haitham Muhammad Mahyoub Muhammad Saif Al-Adin - 3 years old) brutally murdered, after 10 days of his disappearance.

The sources indicated that the child was found murdered, with his limbs severed and his face disfigured, in a crime that shook society.

The child had disappeared on February 23, under mysterious circumstances, while the people of his town were mobilized to search for him in the area without any intervention from the militia authorities, who ignored all appeals to search for him.

The incident highlighted the increasing number of missing children in Ibb Governorate, which is under Houthi control, in conjunction with the widespread security chaos and the spread of organized crime gangs.
