The security services in Shabwa Governorate (southeast Yemen) announced the seizure of a boat carrying 43 Africans who entered the governorate’s coasts illegally.
The security media of the Ministry of Interior said on Wednesday that Shabwa police seized a boat on the coast of Al Ain, driven by three sailors of Somali nationality, and carrying 40 people of nationalities from the Horn of Africa.
He explained that the boat entered the country illegally, and was intercepted and necessary measures were taken against all those on board.
The coasts of Shabwa are one of the most prominent entry points for African migrants coming from Somalia to Yemen and from there to the Gulf countries in search of job opportunities to improve their economic conditions.
