Shabwa.. A boat carrying 70 illegal immigrants was seized on the coast of Al-Shujarah

Security services in Shabwa Governorate, southeast of Yemen, said that they were able to seize a boat carrying 70 illegal immigrants of different African nationalities, while they were trying to enter the country via the Al-Shujarah coast illegally.

According to the Security Media Center, the boat, known as “The Legend,” was driven by three Somali nationals, and was carrying 30 men from the Horn of Africa, in addition to 40 other migrants from Somalia and Ethiopia.

This incident comes amid an increasing flow of migrants to the Yemeni coast, as the International Organization for Migration reported the arrival of 15,400 illegal migrants to Yemen during the month of January, representing a 25% decrease compared to the previous month, which witnessed the arrival of more than 20,000 migrants.
