A young man ends his mother's life by stabbing her with a sharp object in a neighborhood in the city of Aden

On Wednesday evening, a young man ended his mother's life by stabbing her with a knife in a residential neighborhood in Mansoura District, north of the interim capital, Aden, in southern Yemen.

Local sources said that a young man named Abdullah Al-Rifai, 20 years old, stabbed his mother several times in Block 29 neighborhood in Mansoura District.

The sources explained that the mother, whose name is "Hawa", was transferred to Al-Wali Hospital to receive treatment, but she died as a result of severe bleeding, noting that the perpetrator was arrested.

The sources did not mention the reasons that prompted the perpetrator to commit his crime.

Yemen is witnessing a significant increase in the number of domestic crimes, as a result of the ongoing war and the deterioration of the economic situation, in addition to the spread of weapons and narcotic pills.
