A young Yemeni man was killed on the border with Saudi Arabia while trying to leave through "smuggling"

A young Yemeni man was killed on the border with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while trying to leave the Kingdom illegally.

Friends and relatives of the young man (Muthanna Muhammad Abdullah Abdo Ismail Alwa) mourned him on social media pages, and said that he was killed by Saudi border guards while trying to leave Saudi Arabia by smuggling.

The mourners explained that the young man, "Alawah", had accumulated fines and renewal fees due to his difficult circumstances, so he hid from his sponsor in Saudi Arabia for a period of time, before deciding to leave the Kingdom by smuggling.

They added that while he was trying to cross the border illegally, a few days ago, he was killed by Saudi border guards.

The mourners indicated that the victim was from the village of Al-Qabli in Bani Mahram district in the Ibb countryside directorate, north of the governorate center.

The exact date of his death is not known, but Houthi media reported a few days ago that a number of Yemeni travelers were subjected to Saudi shelling and gunfire in the border areas adjacent to Saada Governorate, in the north of the country.
