For the third day in a row, the Arhab tribes, north of the capital, Sana’a, are carrying out an open sit-in. To demand the extradition of a Houthi militant accused of killing one of her sons.
Local sources reported that the Arhab tribes declared tribal disengagement two days ago, and set up sit-in tents in the “Bani Hawat - New Airport Line” area, to demand that the Houthi militia hand over the killer of one of its sons and bring him to justice.
The sources pointed out that the tribes warned against ignoring their just tribal demands, vowing to escalate and respond in kind, stressing that the Houthi militias are going too far against them, especially during the recent period.
She explained that a young man named “Abdul Razzaq Hamoud Ahmed Nasser Al-Sharadi Al-Daiyi,” from Arhab, was killed the day before yesterday by a Houthi gunman from the “Al-Shaybari” family, who hails from the Kharif region of Amran Governorate, north of Sana’a.
The Houthi militia refuses to hand over the killer, while the security services under the control of the same militia refuse to assume their security responsibility and arrest the perpetrator, according to the Capital Center for Rights.
