Meteorology expects cold weather in the coming hours and calls on citizens to take caution

The Meteorology and Early Warning Center at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology warned today, Friday, of cold weather expected in the coming hours, calling on citizens to take the necessary precautions, especially children and the elderly.

The center expected in its daily bulletin that the mountainous highlands will witness dry, cold to very cold weather in the coming hours, with a drop in temperatures, especially at night and early morning.

The center warned citizens and drivers of vehicles in the highlands of the low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog, and also warned farmers in the high mountainous areas of the possibility of their crops being affected by the very low temperatures.

He also expected that the weather in the coastal areas would be generally moderate in temperature, while it would be cold at night and early morning in the governorates of (Al Mahrah, Hadhramaut and eastern Shabwa), and partly cloudy with the possibility of scattered rain on the Socotra Archipelago and the southern and southwestern coasts, and the winds would be moderate to active.
