Yemen.. Meteorology expects cold weather in the highlands and rain expected in Socotra

The Meteorological Forecasting and Early Warning Center of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology expected, on Friday, moderate to cold weather in various Yemeni regions, with the possibility of scattered rains on the Socotra Archipelago.

The center indicated that the coastal areas will witness moderate temperatures and clear to partly cloudy weather, with light to moderate winds active in Bab al-Mandab, Mayun Island, the western coasts and the Socotra Archipelago.

As for the mountainous heights, the weather will be dry and cold to very cold at night and in the morning, with the possibility of fog and frost forming in parts of them, while the weather in the desert areas and interior plateaus will be clear and moderate during the day, and very cold at night.

The center reported that minimum temperatures will drop to one degree Celsius in Sana'a, while moderate temperatures will be recorded in Aden and Socotra at 22 and 19 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The center also warned citizens in mountainous areas of low temperatures, calling on farmers to protect their crops from the effects of frost, while advising fishermen and seafarers in the Socotra Archipelago, the western coasts and the Arabian Sea to be careful of turbulent waves and active winds.
