Al-Wadiah land port on the Yemeni-Saudi border is witnessing a severe congestion crisis for travelers.
Travelers told Yemen Youth Net that the Al-Wadiah land port in Hadhramaut has been witnessing severe congestion for days, which has caused great suffering for the elderly and families due to the long wait.
They added that the crisis of overcrowding of travelers comes in light of the influx of hundreds of vehicles of pilgrims and Yemeni travelers heading to Saudi Arabia, in light of the lack of coordination between travel agencies and the Land Transport Authority for the process of transporting pilgrims.
The travelers pointed out that hundreds of families are stuck at the port in the absence of facilities and services, calling on the concerned authorities to find a quick solution to alleviate their suffering.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Wadiah port is the only open Yemeni land port with Saudi Arabia after the closure of the rest of the ports due to the war that has been going on for nine years.
